B. Cory Kilvert, Jr.
B. Cory Kilvert, Jr. was born, raised and educated as a child in New York City, and while still young, he developed an abiding interest in the British Army, mainly from the period 1854 to 1918, but with the emphasis on World War One in France and Flanders.

He comes from a long line of Canadian men, including his father, who served in World War One. His family link to the British Army is through a cousin, the late Lieutenant-General Sir George Norton Cory, who fought against Afghan tribesmen on the Northwest Frontier of India and later in South Africa in the Boer War of 1899-1902. During World War One, he was a member of the General Staff in France. In 1926 he was knighted by King George V. His military career had a great influence on Kilvert's interest in the British Army.

Kilvert has lectured on the British Army at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, The Royal Canadian Military College in Kingston, Ontario, The Royal Canadian Military Institute in Toronto and also at numerous schools and societies in both the U.S. and Canada.

His own military experience encompassed four years in the U. S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955. During his service, he was assigned to The National Security Agency.

Currently, Kilvert and his wife live in Peterborough in southern New Hampshire. His home military library currently numbers over 3,000 volumes, most of which relate to the British Army in World War One.
